POLICE have charged a man with his partner’s murder after the body of a 31-year-old woman was found in Narara yesterday.
Brisbane Water police were called to Coolawin Circuit in relation to an alleged domestic assault about 9.55am.
When officers arrived, they found the body of a woman.
Early investigations indicated that the death was suspicious.
Police established a crime scene and launched an investigation.
A man, 46, was arrested at Central Railway Station in Sydney about 2pm yesterday. He was taken to Surry Hills police station where he was interviewed by Brisbane Water detectives and charged with murder.
He was refused bail to appear in Central Local Court today.
A police spokesman said the man and the deceased were believed to be in a domestic relationship.
He said police received a triple-0 call from one of the man’s relatives.
Police are awaiting a coroner’s report.
