HUNTER Region festival goers can ring in the New Year at the ninth Peats Ridge festival with John Butler Trio, Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings and more.
The three-day camping festival will be held in the Glenworth Valley from December 29 to January 1. The family-friendly event includes musical acts as well as a full program organised for children and family camping facilities.
Filling out the festival line up are Kiwi dub-funk act The Black Seeds, a DJ set from UK electronic act Friendly Fires, Sydney hip-hoppers The Herd, Mat McHugh & The Seperatista Sound System and indie rockers Deep Sea Arcade.
Singer songwriter Gossling also returns to the festival for a second-year running.
“I loved Peats Ridge when I came to play solo in 2010, so am excited to be able to return with my full band this year,’’ Gossling said.
Other acts playing Peats Ridge Sustainable Arts & Music Festival include Krafty Kuts vs A.Skillz, Kaki King, Blood Red Shoes, King Tide, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Gold Fields, The Medics, The Cairos, Tigertown and Microwave Jenny.
General tickets on sale at 10am August 20 at peatsridgefestival.com.au.
