Police have charged a man, 60, with 14 offences relating to the alleged sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl.
The man was spoken to by detectives at Toronto police station yesterday before being charged with nine counts of aggravated sexual assault, four counts of aggravated indecent assault and one count of performing an act of indecency.
Police will allege the offences took place between June 1 and August 2 this year.
The man was refused bail and will appear in Newcastle Local Court today.
