Readers win chance to quiz Julia Gillard

JULIA GILLARD

JULIA GILLARD

WHEN former prime minister Julia Gillard speaks at Newcastle City Hall on November 4, she will respond to two questions from Newcastle Herald readers.

Zoe Tarjanyi, of Macquarie Hills, and Andrew Marsh, of Valentine, have won double passes to the event.

The event’s host, Herald journalist and Newcastle Writers Festival director Rosemarie Milsom, will put the following questions to Ms Gillard:

■ Ms Tarjanyi – What did you learn about yourself that you hadn’t known or realised before your time as prime minister?

■ Mr Marsh – During your time as prime minister, did you ever feel overwhelmed by your responsibilities and, if so, how did you cope?

Ms Gillard will be in Newcastle as part of her national book tour and will discuss her autobiography, My Story.

Tickets for the 8am event are $11.60 plus fees and charges and can be purchased from 9am, August 27, at a Ticketek outlet, on 4929 1977 or through ticketek.com.au.
