KNIGHTS trio Darius Boyd, Kade Snowden and Chris Houston are free to play against North Queensland at Dairy Farmers Stadium on Saturday night after the NRL match review committee ruled they had no case to answer for a lifting tackle on Manly five-eighth Kieran Foran.
Referees Jason Robinson and Phil Haines reported the three Newcastle players for the tackle in the 67th minute of Manly’s 42-20 victory over the Knights at Brookvale Oval yesterday.
The tackle came after Foran had recovered a short line drop-out by Manly halfback Daly Cherry-Evans and ran it 50 metres.
Manly back-rower Tony Williams, who was reported two minutes earlier for tripping, was also found to have no case to answer so he will take his place for the Sea Eagles against the Broncos at Brookvale Oval on Friday night.
Veteran Roosters fullback Anthony Minichiello faces a suspension of two or three games after incurring a grade-three striking charge for his late forearm to the head of Canberra’s Josh Dugan in the 75th minute of the Raiders’ 24-20 victory at Canberra Stadium last Saturday.
