ONE man is dead and a woman seriously injured following a multi-vehicle accident on the Pacific Highway near Karuah this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene at about 5am after a white sedan left the road and rolled.
The male sedan driver, aged in his 20s, escaped the crash and chased his dog across the road.
He was then struck by a southbound van and died at the scene.
The male van driver was taken to hospital suffering shock.
The dog was taken to a nearby vet for treatment.
A southbound utility then collided with the vehicle that had stopped to offer assistance.
The female driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Crash investigators remain at the scene.
