Organiser Brent Lean, of Mothership Music, said popular acts such as Grinspoon, 360 and Wheatus were all fired up for the festival.

‘‘I’ve been with Good Charlotte and we did Melbourne [on Thursday night] and they are in red-hot form, I think they’re going to blow people away,’’ he said.

‘‘I’ve been in contact with all the bands to prime them up and everyone’s really looking forward to it.

‘‘There’s going to be some special moments out there.’’

Mr Lean said extra tickets would be available at the box office today after sales had ‘‘gone nuts’’.

‘‘This festival is just getting bigger and bigger each year,’’ Mr Lean said.

Ticket holders will also receive free public transport.

Flo Rida appeals concert debt call

A YEAR on from his 2011 Fat As Butter no-show, Flo Rida is yet to pay back the festival’s promoters.

Flo Rida, real name Tramar Dillard, failed to appear at last year’s festival despite being the headline act.

In August, the NSW Supreme Court ordered him to pay back $418,000. The case was unusual because Justice Judith Gibson allowed Dillard to be summonsed through Facebook.

Dillard has appealed against the judgment, stating that because the summons was delivered via social media it ‘‘was not validly served’’.
