AS the dust settles on the Alan Jones saga, we can look at some positive outcomes:
The proven power of social media to achieve results was evident when 100,000 signed up to recommend Jones's dismissal.
Thousands rallied to successfully pressure big advertisers to cancel 2GB spots.
(I predict advertisers will return when the heat dies down.)
Voters got a glimpse of future conservative leaders in the Young Liberals - at their worst. You could plainly hear laughter after Jones's remarks.
Labor will probably get another leg up in the polls - thanks in part to Mr Jones.
Mr Abbott knows the path of personal attack well - he's even called in his wife to try to lift his negative image with voters - especially women.
But of all the good to come out of the Jones saga, I believe the stance adopted by our prime minister stands out.
