THE solar power revolution takes another step in the Hunter on Wednesday night with a public meeting at Club Macquarie Argenton where people can participate in the first bulk-buy campaign for home energy storage.

Activist group Climate Action Newcastle has teamed up with socially-conscious energy company Suncrowd to offer a community “bulk-buy” rate for energy storage batteries and solar panels.

More than 600 people turned up at the first public meeting in Newcastle in June, with hundreds committing deposits.

The presentation covers installation and usage.  Details  at newcastle.suncrowd.com.au or book (free) at eventbrite.com.au. The session begins at 6pm. Energy consultants will also be at the club from 2 to 5pm on Wednesday and 10 to 4pm on Thursday.
