Acclaimed singer-songwriter Elvis Costello is the next big-name act in line to perform at A Day On The Green.
The outdoor concert series will bring the two-time Ivor Novello Songwriting Award winner to Bimbadgen Winery in Pokolbin on February 2.
Costello will be backed by his band The Imposters featuring keyboardist Steve Nieve, drummer Pete Thomas and bassist Davey Faragher.
In another coup for the event, the original line-up of Sunnyboys will return to the stage for their first national tour in more than 20 years to join the bill.
Also performing is Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons, Tex Perkins and the Dark Horses while Sports ex-frontman, Stephen Cummings will make a rare concert appearance.
Promoter Michael Newton said Costello’s 2004 A Day On the Green tour still rates as one of the finest in the event’s 12-year history
‘‘We have had some great shows over the past 12 years, with many personal highlights but this bill is definitely special to us,’’ Newton said.
‘‘The shows we did with Elvis in 2004 still stand out as very memorable and to have the original line-up of Sunnyboys having done only a few shows in 30 years is really special.’’
Tickets prices start from $99 plus booking fee and go on sale October 29 through Ticketmaster on ticketmaster.com.au or 136 100.
