The Hunter’s primary school golf and softball teams travel south this week to compete in state championships.
The golfers are playing at the chilly and challenging Blackheath layout in the Blue Mountains, while the softballers head to Camden.
** The region’s trampoline team regained the regional championship trophy at last week’s CHS titles.
Merewether High’s Kaiya King was the top-scoring athlete from the Hunter.
** With the end of the term approaching, the Hunter School Sports Association has passed on its appreciation to all students who have represented the region this term with such distinction.
While winning results are fantastic, of much more importance is the way our students represent.
Across the board they do so with humility and sportsmanship, and it is a regular occurrence that Hunter students are praised for the respect for officials and other competitors that they show in competition.
Many thanks of course to the parents for their support of their children.
