Intruder breaks Lake Macquarie man's arm in Windale break-in

A MAN has suffered a broken arm in a Lake Macquarie break-in overnight. 

An intruder assaulted the 49-year-old inside a James Street home’s kitchen on Monday night.

The intruder, wearing a mask and carrying a baseball bat, confronted the man and another occupant about 9.20pm. 

The assailant has been described to police as caucasian with olive skin and short dark brown hair. 

He was clean shaven and aged in his late 30s or early 40s  with an average height and build.

The intruder left empty-handed. He was last seen getting into a white 1990s Mitsubishi sedan bearing a red P plate. 


Lake Macquarie detectives are investigating.
