CONSTRUCTION of the latest stage of the Speers Point-to-Glendale shared pathway along TC Frith Avenue is now underway.

Lake Macquarie City Council’s section manager of infrastructure assets, Helen Plummer, said the works were part of the Council-adopted Cycling Strategy 2021, which aimed to provide a connected, safe and functional bicycle network across Lake Macquarie City.

“Council is committed to providing a connected shared pathway network across the city, and these works will provide a crucial link between Speers Point and Glendale,” Ms Plummer said.

“This stage of the works will see the completion of a link from Second Street, Boolaroo to the Cockle Creek railway bridge, further extending the shared pathway.”
