Signature Gardens Spring Fair was held on November 12 at Signature Gardens Retirement Resort at Rutherford.
Despite the heavy rain which fell early that morning, the day was a huge success with many visitors from our local area as well as all our residents supporting this event.
The presence of the Mayor of Maitland, Peter Blackmore added to the sense of occasion and was much appreciated by all in attendance.
There were a variety of stalls consisting of handmade gifts, cakes and slices, jams and preserves, plants and pre loved goods.
Our cafe was also open for morning and afternoon teas and a light lunch.
The committee spent many months and numerous meetings planning for this event.
Their hard work certainly paid off with over $5500 raised by the residents and an additional $2500 from Signature Gardens making a total of $8000 donated to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
Construction of 33 villas in Stages 8 and 9 has now commenced with only three villas remaining available for sale.
The first seven stages of the Resort have sold out with over 100 residents now calling Signature Gardens home.
