HE’S been gored by a bull before – but that won’t stop him.

Gresford’s Cliff Richardson hopes to stun Newcastle on Saturday at the PBR Brendon Clark Invitational, which will see more than 50 of “the most extreme” bulls and their brave riders converge on the city for three thrilling hours of entertainment.

It is especially thrilling for Richardson, who will use the event to show his family what he’s capable of atop a raging bull. But it doesn’t always go to plan.

Richardson has just recovered from a bull-inflicted injury to his spleen.

“It’s hard for the family to get to the PBR because it’s all over Australia, but they’ll be coming to this one,” he said.

“It’s hard for them to watch me out there sometimes, but they should be used to it by now.” The PBR begins at 7.30pm at Newcastle Entertainment Centre.
