A SECOND man has died on Hunter roads in just 11 hours.

Police confirmed a 63-year-old man died after a head-on crash near the intersection of Mitchell Line and Range roads, at Singleton, about 8am.

Two other people, a 32-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman, were treated for leg and suspected back injuries.

They were flown to John Hunter Hospital by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

In a second crash on Wednesday night, a teenager died after his car hit a power pole on Old Maitland Road at Bishops Bridge about 9pm.

The 19-year-old Rutherford man died at the scene.

Police are investigating both fatalities.
