COACH Traci Baber was taking little away from Hunter United’s opening-round win over Penrith as they prepare for their second test in Metro League division one on Thursday night.
Hunter play Baulkham Hills after a two-week break from competition in which Baber’s squad have also battled illnesses.
Baber said she would have a full-strength squad against Baulkham Hills, who lost 47-44 to St George in round one. Hunter won by the biggest margin of the round, defeating Penrith 57-36.
Despite the strong start, Baber said all her side’s opponents in the top division were unknowns and she “was not taking too much away” from the Penrith win. She said new players, such as 17-year-old goal attack Abbie Gray, were nervous in round one and she was expecting an improved display.
Hunter’s division four side last week made it two wins from two games with a 49-33 victory over Blacktown City. They beat Baulkham Hills 48-34 in round one.
