Mother, father facing sex charges: own children used for porn

A BOY and a girl aged 11 and 12 are in Department of Community Services care after they were allegedly made to have sex with both their mother and their mother’s male friend while their father allegedly filmed the acts to distribute on the internet.

The children’s two younger siblings are also in DOCS care after a joint police and DOCS raid on a Hunter Valley house on November 29 where their mother, 30, was arrested and later charged with 16 offences including seven counts of aggravated sexual intercourse with her son and daughter.

The raid followed the arrest of the children’s father, 50, at a Central Coast house on November 18 after police seized computers, hard drives, a mobile phone and compact discs during a search of the house three days earlier.

The search warrant followed information from Queensland police that the father had allegedly sent pornographic images of his children to a man over the internet.

Police alleged the seized mobile phone showed film including a child in a bathtub with a man identified as being on the child protection register.

Police alleged the children appeared naked in images with their naked parents, and with unknown adult males.

Police alleged compact discs featured ‘‘other child pornography’’.

The father was charged with four counts of using a child under 14 to make child abuse material, disseminating the material, procuring a child under 14 for an unlawful sexual activity and inciting a child to commit an act of indecency.

A police statement of facts to Gosford Local Court supporting apprehended violence orders on the children’s behalf alleged the father ‘‘made admissions to filming the incident in the bathtub, but denied filming or photographing anything else’’.

Police alleged the man said he was a nudist and ‘‘his children choose to be nudists also’’.

‘‘He agrees to occasionally taking photos of his children naked, and sometimes having those images posted on nudist websites and sent to other nudists via internet chat,’’ police alleged.

Police strongly objected to the father’s release on bail because of the strong case against him, the likely penalty if he is convicted and his ‘‘history of sex offences’’.

‘‘[The father] did not express any regret for his actions and does not believe he has done anything wrong,’’ the court was told.

Police arrested a second man, 43, at another Central Coast location on November 19 and charged him with inciting the boy to an act of indecency, committing an act of indecency with the girl, producing child abuse material and appearing in a child pornography video with the boy.

The mother was refused bail at Gosford Court on Thursday after she was charged with 16 offences at Maitland police station and refused bail at Maitland Local Court on November 30.

The 16 charges included aggravated sexual intercourse with her children, using a child for pornographic purposes, inciting aggravated acts of indecency while in company with the children’s father and her male friend, and producing or disseminating child pornography.

The father, the mother and the male friend did not enter pleas.

The matters were adjourned until the new year.
