POLICE are investigating a suspicious house fire at Waratah.

The Ada Street home was well alight when emergency crews were called about 6.15am on Sunday, police said.

Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze. There was severe damage occasioned to the property.

Nobody was in the home at the time.

A crime scene was established and police are treating the fire as suspicious.
