Despite sporting a black eye Teralba’s Mariah Williams said she was “super stoked” to be back in the Australian women’s squad.

The 21-year-old will contest the World League Semi-Final in Belgium next month after being named for the Hockeyroos. It follows being struck in the eye by a ball at training on Tuesday.

A top-three finish sees them progress to the World League Final in Auckland in November while a top-five performance makes the 2018 World Cup in London.

Closer to home and the Hunter Coast Premier Hockey League resumes on Sunday with Maitland hosting leaders Gosford. Over at Newcastle International Hockey Centre and South tackle University while Norths meet West.

The Entrance have the bye.

LADDER: Gosford 12, Souths 10, Norths 8, Maitland 6, Wests 3, University 2, The Entrance 1
