Men charged after M1 pursuit from Somersby to Erina

THREE men in their 20s will face court after a pursuit along the M1 motorway that ended at a shopping centre.

Police allege the pursuit with a stolen Toyota Prado started at Somersby around 3pm on Saturday.

Police terminated the pursuit after the vehicle travelled onto the wrong side of the M1.

It’s alleged the men dumped the car at an Erina shopping centre and fled on foot.

They were arrested and taken to Gosford Police Station.

A man, 26, was charged with 20 offences including revocation of parole, police pursuit (Skye’s Law), drive in a dangerous manner, drive while disqualified and take and drive conveyance.

He was refused bail and will appear in Wyong Local Court on Sunday.

Two men, aged 23 and 26, were each charged with being carried in a conveyance and resisting arrest.

The 23 year-old will appear in Wyong Local Court on Sunday. 

The 26 year-old was granted conditional bail and will appear in Gosford Local Court on August 8.
