Onshore weekend coming up and swell to peak on the morning’s high tide. Messy conditions with southern corners the best chance of a surf today. Swell still has east in its direction, to swing south at 1 to 1.5m. Winds from the south to south-south-east easing for Sunday. Tides low early. Check Nobbys bank and Cliff. Mattara Surf Classic looks like being held at Merewether. Smaller breaks in the corners of Stockton and Fingal at Port Stephens. Blacksmiths to the south. Sunday smaller and slightly cleaner. Poor swimming condition - ocean baths are the best option. Water temp 17C.
