Newcastle Beachwatch with Dave Anderson: October 24, 2017

Beachwatch

Good conditions for the morning with light offshore and a few bigger sets before dropping after the late morning high.

Swell out of the south-south-east at 1.5m, easing to 1m.

Wind is light north to north-west, tending north-east for the afternoon.

Not a real shallow tide early which will suit most beaches. Try Nobbys Reef, Alley, Cliff and Dixon.

Merewether and Cowrie on the fuller tide. Burwood,Dudley and Frenchmans to the south.

Try Stockton. One Mile to the north. Some erosion and slight sweeps running to the north.

The water is murky in on 17 degrees.
