It is recognised that one in five people in Australia have some form of disability.

Disabilities are often not identifiable, and employees with a disability work alongside other team members and make their contribution to the business like all employees do.

For Employers, there are many benefits to building a diverse workforce. Recruiting people with a disability gives business access to a larger talent pool, the opportunity to hire candidates with a broad selection of skills and qualifications, and builds a strong brand and reputation as being a diverse and inclusive workplace that reflects the community as a whole.

For over 26 years Castle Personnel Services has been assisting Employers to grow, diversify and improve their workforce by employing people with a disability. With offices throughout the Hunter region, Castle has grown into a business that can assist all employers, in any business sector and of any business size.

As a Disability Employment Service provider, Castle is focused on bringing together the jobseeker and employers.

For employers, Castle operates as a no cost recruitment service, offering a variety of services and benefits to ensure employment needs are met.

For  jobseekers, Castle provides pre-employment services such as skills training and job searching, as well as on-site support as required once employed.

Castle  have assisted over 1000 businesses to grow and improve their workplace through employing people with a disability. The opportunity exists for all business to embrace disability in their workplace and  the benefits of being inclusive.

Many local companies are taking steps to increasing their workplace diversity and Castle is proud to be associated with organisations such as local manufacturer the Varley Group who were recognised earlier this year as the Inclusive Workplace Champion in the 2017 Hunter Diversity Awards.

The awards are the initiative of the Equal Futures Project and recognise and celebrate individual and industry champions making a positive impact in their organisations and communities.
