Central Coast: Man, 73, killed in single car crash near Doyalson

A man has died following a single vehicle crash on the Central Coast yesterday.

About 7.30pm on Tuesday evening, emergency services were called to Link Road at Doyalson, following reports of a crash.

Police have been told a Holden Commodore crashed into a guard rail, before travelling up an embankment and hitting a tree.

The driver and sole occupant, a 74-year-old man, was removed from the vehicle. Despite CPR attempts, the man died.

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, including whether the driver may have suffered a medical episode.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
