New sale records were reached in multiple suburbs during the week and a common trend was out-of-town buyers.
Ryan Nichols of Harper Property Agents sold 19 Kirkdale Drive, Kotara South for a new street and suburb record of $1.07 million, according to Australian Property Monitors data, on October 25.
The previous highest sale price for Kotara South was recorded last year when a home on a large block in Charlestown Road was bought for $1.05 million. Kirkdale Drive’s previous biggest residential sale was $738,000 in 2015.
The four-bedroom, two-bathroom residence with pool is built over four levels and is set on a 600 square metre block.
Mathew Luliano, of PRDnationwide Newcastle Lake Macquarie, broke his own street record for Park Road in Tighes Hill when he sold No.9 for $1.075 million on October 24.
The circa 1910 home was tastefully renovated and is on a 577sqm block with dual access. The previous highest sale for the street was $680,000 last year.
Todd Mason, of McGrath Estate Agents, sold 34 Aldyth Street, New Lambton for $1.2 million. It is the second highest sale for the street, according to PriceFinder. The biggest sale was $1.425 three years ago.
Two large side-by-side blocks in Bailey Street, Adamstown – No.42 and No.44 – were sold to a local developer by Dowling Mayfield’s Bradley Page on October 25 for an undisclosed sum.
The Merewether investment property of former Miss Universe Jen Hawkins at 74 Selwyn Street was sold by McGrath Estate Agents’ Simon Wall on October 20 for $782,355.
Damon Sellis, of Street Property Group, sold a three-bedroom home on Sandgate Road, Shortland for $445,000 and a four-bedroom home on 1340sqm with a bush outlook in Davies Street, Cardiff was sold for $680,000 by first National Real Estate Altitude.
