BUILDING SUCCESS: The tight-knit and passionate team from Valley Kitchens savour their victory at the HIA Awards last Saturday night.

Valley Kitchens designed, built and fit the joinery for the kitchen, butler's pantry and also the laundry in taking out the award, but Mr Allinson was mindful of the team effort that goes into any building project.

“A special shout-out to our partners Caesarstone Australia,” Mr Allinson said.

“Hunter Valley Granite and Marble were the stonemasons and they did a fantastic job.”

Mr Allinson said it was a great feeling being recognised by his industry peers.

“Our whole team works incredibly hard and throws their hearts and souls into every kitchen we install, so to have that industry recognition was fantastic,” he said.

“The competition was tough – we have so much great talent in the Hunter – so to take home Kitchen of the Year was amazing.”

Recognition at the HIA Awards is a major validation for participating businesses and Mr Allinson said victory was a gratifying indication that they are getting things right for their clients.

“It's just really wonderful to be recognised among all that talent.

“Valley designs, builds and installs kitchens across the spectrum of prices and it's extremely validating to be recognised at the top end of the market.

“We always listen to what our clients want when they come to us, and for us it's fantastic that people are always so happy with what we do for them. Industry recognition is the icing on the cake.”
