The owners of this unique waterfront residence had built their dream home on a large block in Eleebana with sweeping lake views.
But it was during a day on the lake with family that the home with Valentine’s largest jetty piqued their interest.
The property, built in the 1960s for well-known Mayfield businessman, timber importer and furniture manufacturer Bill Rogers and his wife Flo, had sat idle on the market for 14 months and walking through the front door was “like walking into a time warp”.
But feeling like they were actually on the water from an upstairs vantage point sold it for the owners, who are now moving on.
They have renovated, updated and added to the property in the seven years they have owned it but have kept a lot of the original features, including Swarovski crystal chandeliers and intricate timberwork.
The home now features four bedrooms and three bathrooms and has stunning water views from various indoor and outdoor living spaces.
It also has the unique offering of a deep waterfront and the owner believes Mr Rogers used to house the biggest boat on the lake on their private jetty.
“For us it ticked a lot of boxes and we fell in love straight away,” the owner said.
“When we moved in we bought a speedboat and stand-up paddleboards. It was buying a lifestyle as well as a home.”
Street Property Group has listed the property and Damon Sellis will take it to auction on November 18 and expects it to sell north of $2 million.
