HUNTER residents determined to start their own business will be guided through the business start-up process by local mentors during upcoming November workshops.

The Hunter’s federal government-appointed entrepreneurship facilitator, Cheryl Royle, will this month run the  free one-hour sessions to help people who are unemployed or stuck in their career choice.

There will be 14 sessions, with Toronto, Charlestown and Maitland having two session options.

Ms Royle is one of three entrepreneurship facilitators in Australia. The Federal Government established the facilitators in regions where there is high youth unemployment and low uptake of self-employment.
