PLAYER of the tournament Mitch Robinson will represent NSW Combined High Schools after guiding Hunter to a state water polo title.
The Merewether High School student was named best and fairest at the annual competition following a 6-3 win over Sydney North in the 2017 NSW CHS Championships decider at Homebush on Thursday.
His teammate Luke Dunford picked up player of the final.
Robinson will be joined in the NSW CHS 1 team by fellow Hunter squad members Matt Humby (Merewether) and Tom Ophir (Whitebridge). Making the NSW CHS 2 side were Hunter’s Jacob Findlay, Bailey Chapman (Callaghan), Matthew Matheson, John Craneri (Lambton) and Jordan Bubb (Warners Bay).
* HUNTER lifted another state trophy last week with the cricket boys successfully defending 117 to claim the NSW Combined High Schools final over hosts Riverina at Barooga on Friday.
Josh Claridge (Whitebridge) and Nathan Hillier (Glendale) were selected in the NSW CHS 1 team while Callum Gabriel (Maitland Grossmann) scored a NSW CHS 2 spot.
* THE NSW Primary School Sports Association will hold their annual presentation on Wednesday night.
