Merewether’s Kempster Road has registered its first $2 million sale with No.3 selling prior to auction for more than its price guide of $2.4 million to $2.6 million.

The classic Federation residence was set down for a December 9 auction but was secured by local purchasers during the week.

The five-bedroom home was marketed by Anthony Di Nardo, of McGrath Estate Agents Charlestown.

No.6 sold for $1.76 million in October of last year for the previous biggest sale.

A $1.87 million sale in The Anchorage, Dudley has eclipsed the previous street record.

A five-bedroom, three-bathroom home at No.4 built in the 1980s and only ever owned by one family was sold by PRDnationwide’s Niki Bogdanovski.

“They keep them very tight in there, especially that pocket of Dudley,” Mr Bogdanovksi said. “It was a huge result for that area.”

David Caldwell, of Your Agency, also set a street record in the past week with the sale of 41 Mabel Street, Georgetown for $710,000. 

Mr Caldwell said  “a beautiful deck out the back was a bit of the X factor” for the two-bedroom, two-bathroom home on 343 square metres.

Dalton Partners’ dynamic duo Joanna Cook and Scott Purnell sold a waterfront home in Ross Street, Belmont last month off market for $2.5 million.

PRDnationwide sold a two-bedroom home in Fletcher Street, Adamstown for $590,000 and First National Altitude sold a three-bedroom house in Lawson Street, Macquarie Hills for $505,000.

Robert Crawford Real Estate sold a four-bedroom home on Newcastle Road, Wallsend for $587,500 and McGrath Estate Agents sold a five-bedroom residence on Joslin Street, Kotara for $1.053 million.

A three-bedroom home in Abbot Street, Maitland was sold for $292,000 by Peters Real Estate.
