For Harrison Lyddiard, receiving an offer to study in an exclusive program at the University of Sydney is another step towards broadening his options.

Harrison, who graduated from Year 12 at Macquarie College last year, has been offered a place in the Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Dalyell Scholars) – a program for students who earned an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank of 98 or higher.

The Glendale resident was one of thousands of people who received a university offer on Friday. Harrison had already received an offer to study Biomedical Science at the University of Newcastle and has four pending applications at Queensland institutions.

“I’m looking at going into medicine or research or something in that sort of area,” he said.

“I started with bio med at Newcastle as one of my offers, now I’m seeing what else I can get into.”
