BEACH WATCH

Lighter onshore winds with a high pressure system in the Tasman. Swell to straighten up and better waves towards the early afternoon high tide. Swell from the ESE to South at 1.5m.

Wind light North to N/E. Tides going low for the early and check Nobbys Reefs and Newcastle Beach. Banks at Dixon and Pogos. Stockton and One Mile to the north. Dudley, Redhead and Catho to the south.

Careful if in for a swim as some beaches may have dangerous surf signs up. Best to head to ocean bathes if not a strong swimmer. Water temps 23C.

HUNTER BOATING

Winds Northeasterly about 10 knots increasing to 10 to 15 knots in the early afternoon.

Seas Below 1 metre, increasing to around 1 metre during the afternoon. 1st Swell: South to southeasterly 1.5 to 2 metres. 2nd Swell: East to northeasterly around 1 metre.
