Newcastle Beachwatch with Dave Anderson: Saturday, March 24, 2018

Surf to be cleaner with lighter winds and the swell beginning to slowly drop. The northern corners to have the better of conditions. Swell from the East to S/E at 1 to 2m. Wind light North tending N/E. Tides low mid morning and there's sure to be a few out off Newcastle Point and Alley. Banks off Cliff and Dixon. Redhead, Frenchmans and Moonie to the south. One Mile and Birubi up at Port Stephens. Smaller for Sunday. Some beaches may remain closed with sweeps running to the south. Check flags before swimming. Dangerous on the rocks and water temps on 23C.
