East Gosford unit explodes, three men and baby injured in fire

Investigations are underway following an explosion at a unit in East Gosford on Wednesday.

About 3pm emergency services were called to a residential unit on Albany Street, East Gosford following reports of an explosion.

Fire-fighters extinguished the blaze.

Two men aged 23 and 25 sustained serious burns and were taken to Gosford Hospital where they remain in a serious condition.

Another 25-year-old man, and an 11-month-old boy sustained minor injuries and were also taken to Gosford Hospital for treatment.

The cause of the explosion is yet to be determined.

Officers from Brisbane Water Police District attended and established a crime scene.

Inquiries continue.
