Elisha and Renee Hebert appear at Civic Park in Newcastle on Sunday to meet and greet fans

INSTAGRAM models, “influencers” and two thirds of a set of triplets Elisha and Renee Herbert have paid a whirlwind visit to Newcastle, meeting fans and posing for pictures.

Among the families having lunch and the dogs chasing sticks in Civic Park on Sunday was a bright pink, double-decker bus blasting RnB music – the home of the Double Trouble Tour and the jet-setting twins mode of transport for the last two days.

It’s the new consumer experience for teenagers and young people; meet and greet your social media idol, take part in a fashion workshop and maybe even get a chance to emulate them.

The tour had promised to give one pair of BFFs [that’s best friends forever] the chance to become the new faces of Princess Polly and Benefit Cosmetics, the two brands the twins were spruiking.

Best mates Alex Davidson, of Cooks Hill, and Kahibah’s Naomi Hughes – two of the twins combined 1.5 million Instagram followers – were among the smattering of young, female fans who flocked to the park.

“We're best friends so we just thought we'd give it a shot,” Ms Davidson said.

“We just wanted to get our eyebrows done and then have a bit of fun.”
