Boy approached by man at Toronto

Police are appealing for information after a boy, 6, was approached by a man at Toronto yesterday.

The boy has told Lake Macquarie police he was playing in the backyard of a house in Excelsior Parade, which backs onto bushland, about 4pm.

He said a man walked through the bush, entered the yard and spoke to him.

The boy’s brother came out into the yard and the man walked away, police said.

The man has been described as being in his 60s and clean shaven. He was wearing glasses, a blue t-shirt, blue shorts and a blue hat. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
