SINCE opening in November, Coffee on Hunter has gained a following. With salads and wraps, as well as an SMS order service, the cafe is popular with inner-city workers pressed for time. Situated in Hunter Street Mall, the cafe offers free Wi-Fi for customers to have with their Piazza D'Oro Espresso brewed coffees, as well as outdoor dining. It also plans to begin barista training courses.

Breakfast (until noon): "The Tradie" - two rashers of bacon, one fried egg and tomato jam on a toasted roll $9; house-made bircher muesli with grated apple, natural yoghurt and goji berries $12; sourdough bruschetta with tomato, avocado, red onion and rocket $13; rhubarb vanilla bean and mascarpone french toast with sugared almonds $15; Boston-style baked beans with bacon, poached eggs and sourdough $16; "Hunters Breakfast" - free-range eggs, bacon, roast tomato, creamed corn, roasted field mushroom, chorizo sausage and toast $17.

Lunch (until 3.30pm): BLT with avocado and aioli on grilled turkish bread $13.50; grilled corn bread with chipotle, lime and coriander sour cream, avocado and tomato salsa $14; chicken and goats' cheese salad with baby carrots, hazelnuts, mint and orange dressing $16; Thai pork and green mango salad with charred pineapple, fragrant herbed cashews and nam jim $17; slow-cooked lamb shoulder tagine with cous cous, preserved lemon, almonds and labna $21; smoked salmon spaghetti, asparagus, chives, lemon and baby spinach $21. Pre-prepared salads and wraps also available.

Drinks: Coffee on Hunter uses Piazza D'Oro Espresso and Two Seasons coffee.
