Police hope computer-generated image will assist robbery inquiry

POLICE are searching for man who may be able to assist their inquiries into an armed robbery at an electronics store.

An image of the person of interest has been released to help the investigation.

On Thursday October 11 last year a man approached staff at the High Street store claiming to be a police officer about 8.30am.

While speaking with a female employee the man produced a knife and demanded cash.

He tied the female’s hands and feet together before leaving the store with an amount of cash.

The woman managed to free herself before contacting police.

Police have renewed an appeal for information and released a computer generated image of the man they wish to speak to.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 182 centimetres tall, aged in his late 20s or 30s, with short dark hair, wearing a black business suit and black wrap-around sunglasses.

Detectives attached to Central Hunter local area command are investigating the incident.
