Pair charged after assault on train 

TWO men have been charged with bashing and robbing another man on a southbound train last night.

Police said the victim, 33, was threatened by two men armed with a knife about 11.50pm between Cardiff and Teralba railways stations.

Despite being bashed, the victim was able to run towards rail staff at Teralba station before the train left.

Police arrested two men after they got off at Fassifern and later charged the 19-year-old and 20-year-old with robbery offence.

They were refused bail to appear in Toronto Local Court today.
