Hidden agenda in state spending

BARRY O’Farrell says the state government has no money  for the art gallery project at  present.

Would he or Tim Owen please explain how, then, $120million is available to destroy the rail infrastructure from Wickham to Newcastle.

Why is there such urgency by this government to waste this money when there are so many Hunter projects desperate for funds?

It is totally illogical and begs the question, ‘‘What is the hidden agenda?’’

Newcastle rail isn’t the cause of CBD decline and removal thereof isn’t the cure for revitalisation.

Tim Owen is a loyal servant of the Coalition government, just as Jodi McKay was of the previous Labor government.

We desperately need local members of parliament who serve the interests of the entire Hunter community and have the guts to stand up to a Sydney-centric state government.
