SUCCESSORS to NX-FM's Steve and Kim’s long-running breakfast show have been announced, with two rising stars of radio slotting into the position.
Albury breakfast pairing Heath Piper and Lucas ‘‘Normy’’ Dorrell will head to the Hunter before the end of the year, stepping into the big shoes of their predecessors in November.
The former Triple M night hosts will move The Heath and Normy Show north from Albury after two years hosting breakfast at 104.9 STAR FM.
Southern Cross Austereo head of radio Craig Bruce said Heath and Normy were discovered in a recruitment drive a few years ago and shone ever since.
‘‘They have evolved to be one of our most exciting prospects, and as a company we are thrilled to give them the opportunity to go to the next level in the highly competitive and much larger Newcastle market,’’ Mr Bruce said.
‘‘Newcastle has historically created some of the most popular shows and outstanding executives we have.’’
