Many business owners and leaders are telling me it’s been a big year and they’re feeling a bit burnt out.
If you’re able, use the holiday period to switch off from work. Some down time with family and friends is important to recharge. Recharging is good for business. You’ll be better able to tackle the challenges of 2016. Think of it as working on the business rather than in it.
Some reflection when recharging is also beneficial. Think about what worked well for you in 2015 and what you don’t want to repeat. Don’t make it onerous. Pick the top three things. Are you still passionate about your business or role? Is your team passionate? This is the priority task post break. If the passion has gone, what can you do to get it back? How can you align your staff members’ passion with your business goals. Passionate leaders and staff are key to business success in 2016.
