Man, 32, charged after police seize bullets, nunchucks from car in Lambton

POLICE have allegedly uncovered bullets, nunchucks and a “large hunting knife” from a vehicle stop in Lambton.

The haul was allegedly seized from a Toyota Prado parked on Verullum Road, Lambton, about 11pm on Wednesday.

Police said the seized items included: 

  • A large hunting knife
  • 1 x 410 gauge shotgun bullet
  • 4 x 12 gauge shotgun bullets
  • 9 x 7.62 rifle bullets
  • 2 x .22LR rifle bullets, and one spent .22LR bullet casing
  • 1 x 22LR rifle 10 round magazine
  • 1 x nikki stirling rifle scope
  • 1 x pair home made nunchucks

A 32-year-old man, who was found seated in the front seat of the car, was arrested and charged on a string of weapons offences.

He was granted bail to appear at Newcastle Local Court on January 12.
