DOLLY Parton mesmerised the crowd and several insects with her glitzy costumes and country crooning at Hope Estate winery at the weekend.
Close to 10,000 people watched the superstar at each of her Hunter Valley concerts on Saturday and Sunday nights.

Parton opened her first show on Saturday with the hit Walking on Sunshine and it wasn’t long before the bugs, which were circling around on the balmy night, were attracted to the shining star.
Parton handled the bugs and beetles with her own quirky sense of humour, even when one flew in her mouth.
‘‘I should be singing Love is Like a Bug or Fly not Love is Like a Butterfly,’’ she joked.
It’s been 25years since Parton was Down Under and her Better Day world tour takes her around the country performing 12 shows in just over three weeks.
She sang songs from her new Better Day album as well as her old hits Islands in the Stream, 9 to 5, Joelene and I Will Always Love You.
There were plenty of Dolly look-a-likes in the crowd at both concerts and Parton’s band also donned sparkles and rhinestones.
A reluctant flyer, the star is travelling the country in her famous bespoke bus and has been playing the fiddle, guitar, banjo and dulcimer at her concerts.
Following Parton’s two performances at Hope Estate, Sir Elton John will arrive in two weeks to hold his concerts at the same venue.
