QUARRY Mining managing director Kari Armitage has been appointed vice chair of peak manufacturing co-operative HunterNet. 

HunterNet chairman Steve Tolley said Ms Armitage was recognised as one of the most successful leaders in the region, with her passion for manufacturing, dedication to customer service and delivering value all contributing to her company’s success.

“Kari shares the HunterNet vision for our region to be a leading force in today’s global market as we collaborate to drive down the cost of doing business and make our region even more competitive,” he said.  

Meanwhile, Advitech Group director Steven Smith is the new chair of the Hunter Manufacturing Awards. 

He replaces Bob Cowan, who remains a HMA director.
