M1 Pacific Motorway reopens after truck crash at Berowra

POLICE have reopened the M1 Pacific Motorway at Berowra after an earlier truck crash.

However, motorists were advised to allow extra travel time as traffic was still heavy.

The motorway was closed in both directions near the Berowra exit after a bitumen tanker crashed and rolled on its side on the median strip about 12.30pm.

Liquid bitumen and other debris were strewn across the road.

The driver was trapped before being freed and taken to hospital.

Fire and Rescue NSW HAZMAT crews were clearing the crash scene.
