BUS problems plaguing the western suburbs of Newcastle will come to a head on Thursday, with Newcastle Transport holding consultation sessions to address the problems.
The body took control in July and has been roundly criticised for underpayment of drivers and some scheduled services not running.
Wallsend MP Sonia Hornery has urged residents to attend the sessions at Wallsend Plaza at 9.30am and 12.30pm to have their say.
“It is good that Newcastle Transport has decided to come out to Wallsend,” Ms Hornery said.
“Accessible and reliable public transport is a priority for many in Wallsend. Thousands of residents in the western suburbs rely on public transport to get to work and school every day.”
“It is important that Wallsend residents make sure that their voices are heard on this issue.”
