Tree-lined streets, beautiful homes, highly regarded schools and a choice of reserves and parks has made New Lambton a sought-after suburb for families.

It enjoys a central position in the city of Newcastle, located just six kilometres west of the CBD and within 10 minutes’ drive of some of the best beaches on offer.

New Lambton is close to John Hunter Hospital and moments to the University of Newcastle.

There is no shortage of entertainment options for the residents of New Lambton.

McDonald Jones Stadium, home of the National Rugby League’s Newcastle Knights and the Newcastle Jets’ A-League side, is positioned at the north-eastern corner of the suburb.

Just five minutes away is Westfield Kotara shopping centre with over 200 speciality stores and new entertainment and dining precinct, The Rooftop. New Lambton also features shopping villages in Regent Street and Orchardtown Road.

Nearly one-third of the suburb is taken up by Blackbutt Reserve, a 182-hectare nature reserve with peaceful walking trails and a wildlife sanctuary. There are several large sporting fields and the popular Fernleigh Track cycleway is also nearby.
