Partners in business, partners in life, One Agency Brown and Reid is very much a boutique family affair.
The agency that Gary Brown and co-principal, and partner in life, Morgan Reid operate is nominated in the Real Estate category at this year’s Hunter Local Business Awards, and they are grateful.
“We have only been in business for 13 months so to become a finalist of the Hunter Business Awards is very humbling,” Mr Brown said.
“We know we are up against some big agents and are hoping that the little guys will get a shot this year.”
One Agency Brown & Reid specialise in a boutique real estate sales and property management services, dealing with landlords, investors and sellers.
“One Agency is not a franchise office, like a traditional real estate agency,” Mr Brown said. “We have a licence agreement to operate under the One Agency banner in a nationwide network.
“Because of that we don’t have the restrictions that a lot of franchises have.
“We’re freer to do business when and where we like, and unlike traditional real estate offices that have an office in the main street with properties in the window, we’re more nimble and technology based.
“Because of that we can save our clients money because we don’t have the overheads.”
Although One Agency Brown & Reid does sales, the focus is primarily on residential property management.
“This nomination is a motivator and a milestone for our family-owned company,” Mr Brown said.
“We never would have imagined in such a short time in business that this was a reachable goal. However, we got there and that already feels like a win so to win the big one would be another amazing achievement. We organically grew the business and we are on track with our targets for property management,” Mr Reid said.
“We have since begun sales and are achieving some great results.”
The family-run operation is based at Toronto and services surrounding suburbs.
